Well we can learn things for creativity, but do we REALLY learn them? Do we implement them deep into ourselves, deep in there? That’s what I’m here for. All you’ve got to do is read. Then it will easily and automatically enter into your mind, into your body, your nerve system, memory, and it will become YOU. Sounds good? I think so.
So let’s relax the body a little. Stretch a little wherever you are, if you need to. I like doing that. Makes me feel good. Opens things up. Breathe a little deeper, a little slower. And as you do this, you can go just that tiny bit deeper. And that’s all you need to do. Just go a little tiny bit lower in brainwave, lower in frequency, so that everything slows down, or maybe just tunes in. Maybe for you its’ a focus, or a pleasure. Maybe you begin feeling inspired. But it only has to be a little bit more. THat shift is really something. The shift itself, a shift of any size, is what makes you tune in.
Enjoy that changing shift, as you think your thoughts, as you experience your own self now, feeling who you are and what you like. Thinking of what makes you feel pleased or pleasured. What makes you feel alive. These things are floating around in the beck of your mind a little bit here now, for sure. They may rise to the front of your mind, or they may not.
So let’s lay out a few things that will immediately up your creation game, because creating is weird.
Well first, the weirder the better. Some even say the weirder they get with their business, the more they make. The same for creativity. THe weirder you get, the more you make.
The best tools are typically not needed. People respond to a good story, something engaging, rather than the shiny tools you use. People always responded the same to my content, whether I was using a cheap headset mic or a professional audio setup. They didn’t care if I was using a decent camera or a professional setup. THey cared about the story. The engagement. The possibilities. Can you imagine creating incredible possibilities with what you have available now? [Take a moment to imagine creating something amazing with the tools you have available]
Throughout the day, move the body a little. When the blood flows, the mind gets going. You must transfer what’s in your mind into this physical world. Do it through movement, and do it the way you enjoy most. [Take a moment to think of doing your favorite kind of movement]
Stretch the tightest spot on your body. Your feelings know what’s up. The feedback your body gives you is brilliant. It’s powerful and magnificent. Just for this moment, let’s listen to it. Where do you feel the most tightness? You might have to move a little to notice it. Where do you feel the most stretch? Stretch that. Gently the first few days. Then a little harder after a few days. Then really push it. That pleasure of stretch and release will come, and it will align you. [Find your tightest spot for a moment]
Let it come to you by raw-dogging boredom. Boredom is an underappreciated emotion, because it’s the moment before “eureka!” (that means, “I’ve found it!”). Boredom is the crossing point between good and not-so-good emotions. We have to cross it all the time, even if only for a second. Sit with the moment, at all moments. Take in the experience of it. Allow it to be this way. Life IS boring at moments. Soon you’ll find a way to make it more fun or functional, because there’s also so many exciting and interesting things in life. This one’s easy, and doesn’t need to be for long [Take a moment to do literally nothing, but really consciously notice what doing that is like.]
Be unreasonably confident, but humble at the same time. It’s as if you are in love with the possibilities of your creation. You know deep down that you are capable of anything. Yet you are cool about it, by enjoying the works of others so much. By seeing the pure positivity in all of it. To see how it’s such a good vibe when it’s on point. See the good things about what you do. See the joy it can bring. See where it provides hope where there is no hope. What a miracle in your own hands! Truly a creator you are and strive to be. [Take a moment to imagine the good vibe of your creation, confident and humble at the same time. What vibe is that in your area?]
Live in the beginner’s mind…because in the master’s mind, there are select possibilities. In the mind of the beginner, anything is possible. It’s something only a beginner can attain. So we must return to being a beginner at every moment. When you have mastered your craft, you will long for the moment you have now, this moment of knowing even less, because this opens your mind to the possibility of anything. Infinite potential. So as our skill grows, we keep going back to why we started, and what we envisioned. [Allow yourself to sink into the beginner’s mind by thinking of why you started what you do, and the vision you had for it]
As supple as a child. Open minded, aware, playful, and friendly. In your own way. [Take a moment to imagine that vibe].
You’ve done a great job for me today, and this boosts your creative journey. Thank you for creating with me today. I love you! Jack
